Cesium optical pump magnetometer

銫光泵磁力儀

The cesium optically pumped magnetometer is a high-precision absolute magnetometer that measures the Earth's magnetic field using atomic optical technology, primarily employing cesium atoms as the sensing medium. Its working principle involves exciting cesium atoms with laser light of a specific wavelength to induce spin polarization, and detecting the Larmor resonance under an applied magnetic field to measure the total magnetic field strength.

Cesium optically pumped magnetometers offer extremely high sensitivity (up to 0.001 nT) and fast sampling rates, capable of omnidirectional measurements unaffected by orientation. They are widely used in aerospace magnetic surveys, seabed geological investigations, and geomagnetic anomaly monitoring, making them one of the most advanced commercial magnetic measurement technologies available today.
