Trace Metal Clean Sampling System
The trace element clean sampling system consists of four parts:

Ultra-clean winch housed in a 20-foot container;

Clean sampling laboratory in a 20-foot container;

Titanium alloy CTD and water sampling rosette;

Twenty-four Teflon-coated water sampling bottles.
The winch and 8000-meter cable are designed and manufactured by KleyFrance, used in conjunction with the Sea-Bird (SBE) CTD and rosette system for trace element water sampling. After retrieval onto the deck, the water sampling bottles are transported to the clean sampling laboratory container for sample processing. The sampling container can hold 24 water bottles and is equipped with HEPA filters, positive pressure gas lines, and floor drainage systems to enhance the efficiency of trace element sampling.
