CTD System

溫鹽深儀系統

CTD system (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth) is one of the most commonly used basic instruments in marine science. It measures seawater conductivity (salinity), temperature, and depth (pressure), which are then used to infer the water column’s density structure and ocean stratification.

Typically mounted on a water sampling rosette, it allows simultaneous collection of water samples and physical parameters at various depths. The CTD sensors offer high resolution and real-time data transmission, widely applied in marine environmental monitoring, current studies, habitat analysis, and climate change tracking.

Its modular design also supports additional sensors like turbidity, dissolved oxygen, fluorescence, and pH, making it a comprehensive ocean observation platform.
