Gravimeter

A gravimeter is a specialized instrument designed to measure variations in the Earth's gravity field from the surface of the sea (on a moving vessel). Since the Earth's gravity varies due to terrain, geological structures, and layer densities, precise gravity measurements can reveal valuable information about geological formations. This is especially important for geophysical exploration, oil and gas surveys, and seabed terrain analysis.
