This symposium adopts the theme “Ocean Innovation A Generation – AI • Autonomy • Acoustics,” continuing the long-standing focus of previous conferences on ocean and underwater technologies while highlighting emerging trends in intelligent, system-oriented, and perception-driven marine technologies. With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, underwater acoustics, and system-level autonomy, ocean technology is evolving from single-device or single-discipline approaches toward integrated applications that span sensing modalities, platforms, and levels of autonomy.
The symposium aims to explore the role of AI in marine perception and analysis, the critical importance of underwater acoustics in sensing, imaging, and communication, and the implementation and challenges of autonomous system behaviors in remotely operated, semi-autonomous, and fully autonomous marine systems. Topics will cover the integration of traditional underwater technologies with emerging intelligent technologies, as well as their practical applications in ocean observation, cultural heritage surveys, marine energy, ecological conservation, and sustainable development.
Through collaboration and exchange among academia, industry, and government, this event seeks to advance the research and application of next-generation ocean technologies and to lay a solid technological foundation for future ocean exploration and management.
