Function Description
- Internally Recording (IR) Vertical Microstructure Profiler can operate continuously observe for 8-10 hours.
- It features high-frequency (512 Hz) sampling shear probes, fast-response thermistors (FP07), and micro-conductivity probes (SBE7) to measure fine-scale ocean velocity, temperature, and salinity.
- Optional sensors such as CT, chlorophyll-turbidity (CLTU), or dissolved oxygen (Rinko-FT) probes can be integrated for hydrographic measurements.
- Suitable for underway profiling at 2–3 knots to collect high-resolution turbulence and hydrographic data (temperature, salinity, chlorophyll, turbidity) across a transect.
- Designed for use in waters shallower than 300 meters.
