Function Description

SeaSPY is commonly used for tow-mounted magnetometers. The towing fish is 124 cm long, 12.7 cm wide, and weighs approximately 16 kg in air and 2 kg in water. It is equipped with an Overhauser magnetometer with a maximum absolute accuracy of 0.1nT. The operating magnetic field range is between 18,000nT and 120,000nT. The system includes a 250-meter-long coaxial cable wound on an electric winch, and it can also be used in conjunction with other towed fish to collect data together.

Developed by Marine Magnetics in Canada, SeaSPY is a high-sensitivity marine magnetometer that uses Overhauser technology to provide unparalleled absolute accuracy and stability. Its lightweight design and ease of operation make it ideal for a wide range of marine geophysical surveys, including UXO detection, shipwreck searches, pipeline location, and more.
