Function Description
- The remotely operated autonomous marine environmental monitoring vehicle carries various ocean measurement probes. By adjusting its buoyancy and center of gravity, it glides along a designated path, traveling between the sea surface and 1000 meters underwater to collect hydrographic profile data.
- Each time it surfaces, it transmits GPS location and detection data via satellite in real time, or receives mobile control commands to adjust the detection route, diving posture, probe sampling frequency, and other parameters.
- The observation mission is not limited by season, sea conditions, or observation range. Powered by a lithium battery, the vehicle has very low power consumption and can continuously monitor for more than three to six months depending on the mission requirements.
- It can be used for long-term marine environmental monitoring, collecting physical, chemical, and biological data of seawater, and is of great significance for studying hydrological changes, climate change, and marine ecology.

Payloads
- Temperature and Conductivity (Seabird SBE CT Sail):
A temperature-salinity probe designed by Sea-Bird Scientific for Seaglider, used to measure temperature (T) and conductivity (C) of seawater within 1000 meters depth. These measurements can be converted to salinity, density, and other hydrographic parameters.

| Measurement | Range | Accuracy | Resolution |
| Conductivity | 0 – 7 S/m | 0.005 S/m | 0.0001 S/m |
| Temperature | -5 – 35℃ | 0.002℃ | 0.0001℃ |
- Dissolved Oxygen (Aanderaa Optode 4831):
Manufactured by Aanderaa Data Instruments AS (AADI), this optical sensor (based on fluorescence quenching) measures dissolved oxygen (DO) in water.

| Measurement | Range | Resolution | Accuracy | |
| DO | O2 Concentration | 0 – 500 μM | < 1 μM | <8 μM or 5% |
| Air Saturation | 0 – 150% | 0.4 % | <5 % | |
| Temperature | -5 – 40°C | 0.01°C | ±0.03°C | |
- Chlorophyll Fluorescence and Optical Backscattering (WET Labs ECO Puck):
Detects chlorophyll fluorescence and water backscattering using specific wavelengths of light.

| Parameter | Wavelength EX/EM | Range, Sensitivity |
| Chlorophyll (Chl) | 470/695 nm | 0 – 50 μg/L, 0.025 μg/L |
| Scattering | 532 nm | 0 – 5 m⁻¹, 0.003 m⁻¹ |
| 700 nm | 0 – 5 m⁻¹, 0.003 m⁻¹ |
- Turbulence Sensor (Rockland Scientific MicroPods):
Jointly developed by Kongsberg Underwater Technology, Inc. (USA) and Rockland Scientific, Inc. (Canada). The MicroPod system includes two sensor mounts for velocity shear probe and fast thermistor (FP07), sampling at 512 Hz. It measures microscale shear and temperature variance due to turbulence, estimating turbulence kinetic energy dissipation rate and eddy diffusivity. The system also includes a data logger for control, data storage, and communication with the Seaglider.
