Kongsberg EM 304 MKII is an advanced deep-water multibeam echo sounder system designed for high-resolution seabed mapping from shallow coastal areas to full ocean depths (up to 11,000 meters). The system operates over a broadband frequency range of 20–32 kHz and features a modular design for easy installation and upgrades. With the capability of generating up to 1600 beams, it offers exceptional data resolution and coverage, making it ideal for oceanographic research, seabed resource exploration, and marine engineering applications.

• Full Ocean Depth Coverage:
  EM 304 supports depth measurements up to 11,000 meters, suitable for both shallow and deep-water survey requirements.

• Wide Swath Coverage:
  At 2,000 meters depth, the swath width can reach up to 5.5 times the water depth; at 6,000 meters, it can exceed 12,000 meters, depending on seafloor conditions and system settings.

• High-Resolution Data:
  With up to 16 independent transmit sectors, the system delivers highly detailed bathymetric data, minimizing the need for post-processing.

• Dynamic Stabilization:
  Real-time stabilization for roll, pitch, and yaw ensures consistent data quality even in rough sea conditions.

• Modular and Flexible Design:
  The modular architecture allows for easy installation and configuration based on vessel size and mission requirements. Multiple beamwidth options are available (e.g., 0.3°x0.5°, 0.5°x1°, etc.).
