Motion Reference Unit (MRU)

The DMS series motion compensation sensors are specifically designed to meet the demanding motion measurement requirements of the marine industry. Whether conducting IHO-standard surveys from vessels of any size or providing critical monitoring for offshore platforms, large ships, helidecks, cranes, and positioning systems, DMS sensors deliver accurate motion data under all sea conditions.

Equipped with solid-state angular rate sensors and enhanced external velocity and heading aiding algorithms, the DMS ensures high accuracy during dynamic maneuvers, offering the reliability expected from TSS’s highest-performance vertical reference units.

The DMS series includes models for both surface and subsea use — with a standard depth rating of 3000 meters for subsea units, and an optional 6000-meter version available on request. Like all TSS systems, the DMS complies with all current and anticipated European electromagnetic compatibility and emissions regulations.

The latest DMSView software is an intuitive Windows™-based program used for installation, configuration, integrity checks, and sensor monitoring. Users can select from a range of common data protocols or customize outputs based on a wide selection of available variables.
